Bananar

Bananar was established in 1955, and as the company name suggests, initially focused on the import and ripening of bananas. Today, Bananar is the largest importer and distributor of fruits and vegetables in Iceland, as well as one of the country's largest import firms overall. Bananar aims to meet the needs and demands of its customers for a wide range of high quality products. In order to meet those needs, Bananar focuses its business directly on the countries which have the best harvest of fruit and vegetables at any given time. Products are delivered weekly by ship and daily by air. Icelandic vegetables are delivered daily.
