Finnur Árnason

Finnur Árnason is Director General of Hagar. 

Finnur was employed by Hagar (formerly Baugur) from the founding of the company in 1998, in recent years as General Manager of Hagkaup. Finnur graduated in business administration from the University of Iceland and in microeconomics from the University of Hartford in 1987. Finnur is married to Mrs Anna Maria Urbancic, MS in Business administration, and they have four children.

Jóhanna graduated in Social Economics from the University of Iceland in 1991 and obtained her MBA from the Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania, 1995.

During 1991 and 1993 she was a financial advisor for the Íslandsbanki Securities (VÍB), as well as teaching at The Commercial College of Iceland in the winter 1992-1993.

After finishing her MBA, Jóhanna began working for Rubbermaid Incorporated, and for the first year she worked in the Expenses Guide/ Supervision department of Rubbermaid Office Products, Tennessee. During 1996-1999 she worked as an expert in the Financial Division and as an Assistant to the Financial Director for Little Tikes Commercial Play Systems in Missouri which is an organization within the Rubbermaid conglomerate.

At the beginning of 1999 she started working for FBA as a specialist in Mergers and Acquisitions. At the end of that year she started working for a Swedish company, Scandsea International, in Helsingborg, before taking up her post as Baugur’s Chief Financial Officer, post that she held from 2001 to 2003 and then the post of Financial .Director of Hagar from 2003 to 2005 until she was appointed General Manager of Hagar in 2005.
